Teaching International Students to Analyze Textual-Discursive Categories

The purpose of the study is to identify how course that covers components ten-stepwise approach discourse analysis political texts helps international students meanings in Ukraine. used structured observation method collect rather quantitative than qualitative data and observers’ reports on sampled students’ performance in-class out-of-class assignments. It also awareness test, report checklist, assessment checklist yield data. based proved raise overall textual-discursive categories fosters their skills both technical use NVivo 12 software tool. results Discourse Analysis Awareness Test showed was generally good. mean values varied between 0.643 and0.857, which corresponded 65-85 grades ECTS. five most frequent words corpus seven experts were as follows: students, contributed, equally, succeeded, managed.
